Meghan Markle Is Officially In Labor!

UPDATE 9:40 a.m.: Meghan Markle has officially given birth to a baby boy, according to their Instagram account @SussexRoyal.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle better squeeze in their final moments as a family of two, because the 37-year-old duchess is officially in labor.

Buckingham Palace just confirmed that the duchess has gone into labor, according to the BBC.

At this point, no details have been released about the location of where she’ll be delivering. (There have been rumors that the duchess would be having a home birth or delivering at a location other than the infamous Lindo Wing.)

This royal announcement may also come as a surprise to so many who were speculating that the duchess had already given birth after Prince Harry announced a trip to the Netherlands last week to kick off the 2020 Invictus Games. Since he wasn’t scheduled to leave until May 9, it’s safe to assume that he is currently by Meghan’s side for the birth of Baby Sussex.

At this point, we still don’t know if Meghan will be delivering a girl or boy, as the royal couple have chosen to keep the gender a surprise.

Baby Sussex is the seventh in line to the throne behind Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Prince Harry. He (or she!) will also be the eighth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth.

Wishing a happy and healthy delivery for the newborn and proud mom!
