Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's New Home at Windsor Has a Creepy Past

Today on the Suss-X Files…Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new home, Frogmore Cottage at Windsor, reportedly has a very spooky history.

Ghosts, mausoleums, graveyards…It’s not a first homeowner’s dream, to be sure. According to Hello!, Megs and Henry may need to call in a medium, because the next-door-neighbor castle (casual) could be haunted.

Before you grab the Ouija board, though, these ghost stories need to be taken with a grain of salt. Media coverage of the so-called spooky past is all centered around the fact that nearby Windsor Castle (where the Sussexes got married) has had ghost sightings before.

Frogmore Cottage, which is currently undergoing renovations to make it livable for Harry and Megs plus baby, is located about a mile and a half from the castle, on the Windsor estate.

Also located on the estate: a private cemetery, where Queen Elizabeth’s Uncle Edward and his wife, Wallis Simpson, are buried and two royal mausoleums, which contain the tombs of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, as well as Queen Victoria’s mother, the Duchess of Kent.

Windsor ghost sightings of King Henry VIII pacing the halls of the castle, as well as his beheaded wife, Anne Boleyn, have been reported in the past. The king is buried at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Prince Harry and Markle may or may not believe in ghosts, but we know we'd keep our guard up for the first few weeks in the new home if we were them.

And Anne Boleyn is getting a new yoga studio, so she can chill, OK?
