Madison Prewett ‘Never Cried Harder’ Than When Barb Came For Her During ‘The Bachelor’ Finale

Madison Prewett is opening up about that hard-to-watch Bachelor finale, claiming she “never cried harder” than when Peter Weber’s mom, Barb, came for her on national television.

The former contestant, 24, appeared on a recent episode of former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast, Off the Vine. Prewett admitted that she wasn’t expecting that reaction from Barb, which is why she didn’t have much to say to her potential future mother-in-law.

“I wish that I would have just apologized and been apologetic in that moment,” she said. “I think I was so taken back, and I was so hurt by the things that were being said to me in this time that was so beautiful for me and Peter. We had overcome so much to be there. We’re trying to fight so hard—we don’t know if it was going to work—but we’re trying so hard to figure out if it can.”

Prewett went on to say that she was disappointed by the way it was handled, adding, “For that opportunity to kind of be taken from the both of us…for that to be the ending of the season…I mean, I walked off that stage, and I had never cried harder in my life.”

The Alabama-native also discussed her breakup with Weber, claiming they never established an official “relationship” after the finale. “Those next 48 hours [after the finale] were tough for sure,” she continued. “I walked off that stage completely blindsided and hurt.”

All we have to say is…how could you, Barb?!
