‘The Bachelorette’ Is Totally Trying to Fool Us with the Latest Luke P. Drama

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

On last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, Hannah Brown finally came to terms with what we’ve all known since the beginning: Luke Parker isn’t husband material. However, is the 24-year-old villain gone for good?

Here’s what you need to know: In season 15, episode five of the ABC series, Brown invites Parker on a one-on-one date. The outing has a shaky start, since the Bachelorette is concerned about Luke’s issues with the other contestants, who can’t stand the sight of him.

Although Luke tries to defend himself, he only makes her madder, ultimately bringing Brown to the realization that she knows nothing about him. Things get even more heated at dinner when Luke blames the other men for hurting his reputation.

“I don’t want to be married to someone who thinks it’s everybody else’s fault and can’t take ownership,” Brown says. And then adds, “I can’t give you this rose.”

So, is Luke finally going home? While it may seem like that’s the case, we’re highly skeptical. First of all, if Brown is sending him packing, why did the producers end the episode on a cliffhanger?

And second, if we’ve learned anything from past seasons, it’s to expect the unexpected. And right now, we wouldn’t be all that surprised if Brown doesn’t send him home right away. After all, she doesn’t have to give out a rose during the one-on-one date…right?

We think she’ll keep him around until the next rose ceremony—you know, long enough to stir up more drama before he goes on his merry way to Bachelor in Paradise.

The Bachelorette returns to ABC next Monday, June 17, at 8 p.m.
