The 31-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer slayed the American Music Awards red carpet when she arrived at the step and repeat holding the smallest handbag we’ve ever seen.
Lizzo posed with her micro Valentino purse on the carpet, using it to showcase her crystal-encrusted nails and allowing it to act as a foil to her maximalist, orange, tiered, ruffled, one-shoulder gown.
The AMA nominee explained the rationale behind her teeny-tiny purse on Instagram, writing, “@maisonvalentino bag big enough for my f*** to give. Big body b***h in a Valentin-HO custom look for @amas.” Obviously, she added the peach and water emojis to spice her caption up even more.
In case her caption wasn’t clear, Lizzo gives zero you-know-whats and doesn’t care who knows it.
Celebs immediately reacted to Lizzo’s pint-sized accessory, with everyone from Ariana Grande to Lil Nas X weighing in. “Cutest,” Grande wrote. Model Ashley Graham commented with a fire emoji, while “Old Town Road” singer Lil Nas X threw Lizzo three heart-eye emojis. Body positivity advocate Tess Holiday wrote (in all caps) “THIS IS A LOOK THO” with a fire emoji, natch.
