Lizzo Brought a Bedazzled Bottle of Tequila to the VMAs & It’s the Best Date We’ve Ever Seen

Lizzo just took a DNA test and it turns out, she’s 100%  the type of chick who brings her own bedazzled bottle of tequila to the 2019 Video Music Awards.

It’s no surprise that the 31-year-old singer stole the show at last night’s VMAs. But it wasn’t just her performances of “Good as Hell” and “Truth Hurts” that captivated audiences, it was also the sparkly Patrón bottle she brought as her date.

But Lizzo didn’t just carry around the Sparkylestudio-designed bottle as a prop. She chugged directly from it in the audience and tilted her head back to take a shot while performing on stage in front of a large blow-up butt. (Yep.)

As she explained at the time, “Let me talk to you for a second. I’m tired of the bulls**t and I don’t have to know your story to know you’re tired of the bullshit too. It’s so hard trying to love yourself in a world that doesn’t love you back am I right?”

She went on to seize the occasion for a toast, saying, “So I want to take this opportunity right now to just feel good as hell because you deserve to feel good as hell. We deserve to feel good as hell. So tell me how you feeling?” (Answer: Your personalized Patrón has us feeling all sorts of great.)

That wasn’t the last we saw of the bottle. The “Juice” singer kept the tempo up and even carried it around with her to interviews. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Lizzo “spilled the tequila” about her blinged-out accessory, and confirmed it is, in fact, alcohol.
