Laverne Cox Reveals Her Major ‘Bridgerton’ Crush at the Golden Globes

Laverne Cox is ready for her role on Bridgerton.

The actress, activist and writer was radiant in red at the Golden Globes, and her whole look was apparently representative of her love for Bridgerton. Cox shared the elegant ensemble on her Instagram, with a caption that said, "For virtual #GoldenGlobes 2021. Wearing Dress custom @thainguyenatelier, jewelry @dena_kemp Styled by @christinajpacelli Hair @kimblehaircare Makeup @beautybytayrivera ...#TransIsBeautiful."

Cox virtually attended the Globes to support her film Promising Young Woman, which was nominated for four awards: Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Actress (Mulligan), Best Director (Fennell) and Best Screenplay (Fennell).

In an interview with Karamo Brown for the E! News pre-show, Brown praised Cox's braided hairstyle, which she revealed was meant to channel "Bridgerton vibes." The conversation quickly turned to the topic of the Duke of Hastings (played by Regé-Jean Page). Cox jokingly said "I'm trying to like, pull it back. I've said a little too much about the Duke publicly...I respect him so much as an actor, who's an incredible artist and very, obviously, easy on the eyes."

Cox shared a clip from her interview with Brown on her Instagram account, writing: "Thank you @eentertainment. Thank you @karamo #GoldenGlobes @promisingyoungwoman #TransIsBeautiful"

We can't blame Cox for wanting to talk about the Duke. We're keeping our fingers crossed that she gets offered a role alongside him in future seasons.
