I've seen the royal family visit their fair share of Commonwealth nations, from Prince William's recent adventures in South Africa to Princess Anne's 2024 trip to Sri Lanka. Now, in honor of Commonwealth Day, Buckingham Palace is taking fans down memory lane with highlights from the royals' previous visits to Commonwealth nations.
In case you missed it, the royal family took to Instagram and shared several pics from their travels in 2024 and 2025, including a snap of Duchess Sophie speaking with choir members in Malta and King Charles letting his hair down in Samoa. The caption reads, "Thank you to everyone around the Commonwealth who has welcomed a member of the Royal Family to their country in the past year."
As much as I enjoyed revisiting these highlights, however, there was one photo that immediately stood out. On the very first slide, a very relaxed King Charles and Queen Camilla posed among students at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia.
