When you look up chic in the dictionary, there should definitely be a picture of Kerry Washington.

The Scandal actress always brings the best looks to Instagram—from flowery dresses to baby blue two-pieces—and her latest ensemble did not disappoint. Washington decided to get dressed up for Women's Equality Day and every detail of her look was stunning, from her long braids to her mauve nails.

“Suited up for #WomensEqualityDay,” she said in the caption of her slideshow.

The Little Fires Everywhere star was seen sporting a blue Parke blazer in stretch linen from J. Crew with nothing underneath. However, the real winner of her ensemble was the eye-catching gold pendant necklace she held in place with her hand.

“Armed with @auratenewyork’s new Femme Coin Capsule Collection,” she added in her caption. “Today we celebrate the women who stood up, spoke out, and led the way in this fight for equality.”

In Aurate's official description for the necklace (which you can buy here), they say, “We took twelve of time’s bravest women, from Hatshepsut to Kamala Harris, and we put it in gold writing. #FINDYOURFEMME. Our Femme Gold Pendant Necklace is an amulet of strength and courage, crafted to protect and empower against whatever hardships you may face. Made from the most solid gold, for the most solid version of you.”

Washington gave an even closer view of the necklace on her story, where she said, “For every Femme Coin Capsule necklace sold, @auratenewyork will donate 10% to @iamavoter.” I Am a Voter is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting civic engagement and making voting more accessible.

Leave it to Kerry to make her fierce fashion statements into political action. We love it.
