Kerry Washington Just Showed Off Her Surprisingly Impressive Basketball Skills (Yes, You Read That Correctly) on IG

Looks like we’re not the only ones excited about the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy. Kerry Washington is celebrating (while simultaneously showing off her basketball skills) with a new video on her personal Instagram account.

On Monday, the Little Fires Everywhere star shared a clip inspired by the new film of herself playing around on the basketball court. “Put me in Coach @kingjames @looneytunes,” she captioned the video, which is set to the theme song of the film.

In the footage, we see the 44-year-old shooting the ball into the net (over three times) and attempting to perform a series of tricks with the basketball, including dribbling and spinning the ball around her pointer finger. At one point she even lands a layup.

We also couldn't help but notice that Washington even dressed the part by sporting a Tune Squad jersey and sneakers.

It wasn’t long before fellow celebs filled the comments section with praise for not only her basketball skills but her video editing ones as well. Chelsea Handler wrote, “Oh, well excuse us! Who knew you had those moves?” Phoebe Robinson added, “Yaaaaaas! There is nothing you can’t do!” Mindy Kaling even chimed in, “Kerry I’m dying. You’re so cute.”

It’s clear Washington was also pretty impressed with herself, considering she was all smiles in the video and seemed incredibly surprised every time she made another shot (especially the one she made without even looking at the hoop).

Kerry, if acting doesn’t work out, there’s always the WNBA.
