Kelly Ripa Shares the Sweetest Throwback of Her Parents in Honor of Their 60th Anniversary

Kelly Ripa's parents have reached a major milestone in their marriage—60 years of wedded bliss. In honor of the occasion, the talk show host decided to celebrate the couple by posting a rare throwback to her Instagram.

In the post, Ripa shared a snap of her parents—Joseph and Esther Ripa—from the day of their wedding. The pair seemingly matched in white, with Esther in a lace gown and pearls, while Ripa's dad coordinated with his spouse by donning a white tuxedo.

The LIVE with Kelly and Ryan host highlighted their anniversary in her caption, and revealed their nicknames along the way. “Happy 60th anniversary to Joe and Essie Ripa, aka Dad and Mom!” she wrote. Ripa also let slip that she thought they reached the milestone last year, writing, “(I thought it was 60 last year if I’m being honest, but they don’t have Insta so it’s fine).”

While we enjoyed Ripa's comical honesty in the caption, we also couldn't get over how much she looks like her parents, specifically her mom.

In the comments, E! News presenter Justin Sylvester also noted the similarity between Ripa's dad and her youngest son, Joaquin, writing, “Joe and Joaquin may be separated at birth.”

Other celebs, like Joel McHale, showed their love for the vintage throwback, commenting, “THIS IS SO AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME.”

This isn't the first time the LIVE host has shared a photo from her parents' wedding day. Last November, Ripa uploaded a snap of the two leaving the chapel and getting showered with rice. In the caption, she expressed her thankfulness for them, saying, “Especially thankful for my [loves] Essie and Joe, aka mom and dad. (And now the pre thanksgiving workout of combing through family photos and old vendettas) circa:1962 #thankful.”
