Kelly Ripa is celebrating the first birthday of a very special baby in her life. And she’s using the occasion to reveal one of her nicknames which we have never heard before: “MeeMaw.”
On Tuesday, the Live! with Kelly and Ryan co-host shared a sweet snap on her personal Instagram page, featuring herself smiling at an infant on a play mat. She captioned the post, “Happy 1st birthday Wyatt! MeeMaw [heart]’s Wyatt.”
At first—before we checked the tags—we thought the 50-year-old actress was revealing that she was a grandmother...However, it turns out that MeeMaw is the name she’s known by to Anderson Cooper’s young son, Wyatt Morgan Cooper.
And clearly, we weren’t the only ones who were originally confused. “Congratulations Kelly Ripa on becoming a grandmother," one fan wrote in the comments section, while another added, “Gosh—congratulations Kelly and Mark—that's how long I've not watched Live, gee!”
ICYMI: Wyatt celebrated his first birthday earlier this week. The 52-year-old CNN correspondent shared a slideshow of never-before-seen pics of his son on his personal Instagram account. The first photo features the birthday boy smiling and holding a red balloon while the second shows the young boy lounging on a recliner (probably after enjoying some birthday cake).
“Today is Wyatt’s first birthday,” Cooper captioned the post. “I can’t believe it has already been a year. He is sweet and funny, happy and kind, and I love him more than I ever thought possible.”
Now if only we could get a few more pics of Wyatt and his MeeMaw.
