Kelly Ripa Reveals the Bizarre Remark Husband Mark Consuelos Made While She Was Giving Birth

One of the most joyous (and stressful) moments in a parent’s life is when they welcome their child into the world. And as Kelly Ripa looks back on those times (she is a mother of three, after all), she can still remember things vividly—so much so that she can recall the ridiculous and shocking comments her husband, Mark Consuelos, made at the time.

Podcast host Amanda Hirsch recently shared a screenshot from a published Today article, which asked mothers to recall what their partner did or said on the day of their birth experience.

To start an open conversation, Hirsch shared in the caption the numerous remarks her partner said at the time, including, “Are you done?” “My chair is really uncomfortable.” “I’m so tired.”

Among the many comments, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host decided to join in on the fun and shared her own story—and we can’t stop thinking, “Mark, you really said this?” Ripa shared a pair of remarks her husband made, which she shared in the comments of the post: “Do you mind if I eat?” And “I’m going to the batting cages since you’re gonna be here a while.”

So many of her fans came across her comment and just had to share their response. One fan wrote, “Nooooo.” Another fan chimed in and said, “Not the batting cages lmao.”

Ripa and Consuelos share three children together: Joaquin (19), Lola (21) and Michael (25). The Live Wire author didn’t go into detail about during which child's birth Consuelos made these bizarre comments (or why the batting cage?). But knowing the couple’s playful relationship, we’re sure Ripa sharing this story is all in good fun.

Really, Mark…?!
