Kelly Ripa Looked Way Different on ‘Live’ Yesterday, Almost Cat-Like...

Kelly Ripa takes her job as a co-host on Live with Kelly and Ryan very seriously. However, that doesn’t mean she can’t have a little fun while doing so. And on yesterday’s episode, she played around with Instagram filters, teasing a viral video.

On Wednesday, producers of the morning show shared one of their daily behind-the-scenes clips from the episode. In the video, the 50-year-old actress looked different than usual…sporting a cat filter on her face. “Kelly is here live and she is not a cat,” the post’s caption read.

If you’re unfamiliar, Ripa was recreating a viral video featuring a Texas lawyer who accidentally used the feline filter during an important virtual Zoom call.

“That video is what we all need right now to soothe our souls,” she said in the footage referencing the original. “I just love the panic-stricken look on the cat with the eyes moving around. It was brilliant.”

Ripa’s different look—which she paired with a satin Saint Laurent Jumpsuit, a gold Alexander McQueen belt and Gianvito Rossi leopard heels—wasn’t the only thing unusual about yesterday’s episode. In fact, her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, was noticeably absent from Wednesday’s installment. Unfortunately, the 45-year-old was MIA because he was “under the weather.”
