Kelly Ripa took a moment to celebrate her dad, Joe Ripa, for his service to our country on Veteran’s Day earlier this month.
Kelly Ripa Shares a Never-Before-Seen Photo of Her Dad on Instagram

On Instagram, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host shared an old photo of her father and dedicated a sweet tribute to the army vet. Taken in his military days, Joe looked quite dapper in his black shirt and bottoms while standing inside a bell tower in Italy.
“Thank you to the Veterans who protect, serve and sacrifice for our country,” she wrote in the caption. “Especially to my dad, Joe Ripa, Army Specialist 5 pictured in Pisa, Italy 1958.”
This is not the first time Kelly has shown love and admiration for her parents on social media. Back in April, the Live Wire author shared a throwback photo of her mother and father—Joe and Esther Ripa—in honor of their 60th wedding anniversary. In the black-and-white snapshot, the pair seemingly wore matching white ensembles on their special day.
“Happy 60th anniversary to Joe and Essie Ripa, aka Dad and Mom!” she wrote. Kelly later shared that she thought they already celebrated this major milestone, adding, “(I thought it was 60 last year if I’m being honest, but they don’t have Insta so it’s fine).”
