Katie Holmes Just Proved She Still Looks Exactly Like Joey Potter 20 Years After ‘Dawson’s Creek’

In case you (somehow) haven’t noticed, Katie Holmes has emerged as the fashion “It” girl of summer 2019. Not surprisingly, the 40-year-old Dawson’s Creek alum has also claimed the throne as queen of New York Fashion Week. But while many were distracted by Holmes’s leather leggings and high-heeled flip flops, we couldn’t help but notice that she’s looking an awful lot like Joey Potter recently.

It all started when Holmes shared a photo of herself on Instagram ahead of the Elie Tahari show. Between her side-parted bob and coy smile, fans were quick to notice that not only has she apparently not aged in the last 20 years, but she also looks more like her Dawson’s Creek character than ever.

See what we mean? It’s like it’s 1998 all over again.

We’d be remiss not to mention that Dawson’s Creek creator Kevin Williamson did say he thinks there’s a universe where Dawson (James Van Der Beek), Joey and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) live on. Perhaps, the ageless Holmes is living in it.

After making Dawson’s fans experience all the nostalgia, Holmes continued on to the Elie Tahari spring 2020 runway show where she garnered even more attention.

The newly single Holmes opted for the Elie Tahari Fei sweater ($448) in antique, with merino wool cable-knit and nice big pockets. She layered a light-wash denim Levi’s Western button-down ($45) and the Elie Tahari Netta long-sleeve knit T-shirt ($78) underneath and opted for lamb leather Roxanna leggings from Elie Tahari ($998) paired with pointed-toe black booties.

Whatever you’re doing, Katie, it’s working.
