Kate Middleton Dons Royal Rewear & Honors the Late Princess Diana in the Process at Trooping the Colour

Leave it to Kate Middleton to remind us that certain pieces never go out of style.

Earlier today, the queen’s Platinum Jubilee officially began. The Duchess of Cambridge was joined by her three children: Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte on a horse-drawn carriage ride in the Trooping the Color parade.

As she smiled and waved at royal admirers in the crowd, Middleton donned a white blazer dress designed by Alexander McQueen. Back in 2021, she wore the same ensemble to a G7 Leaders’ reception at the Eden Project in Cornwall. That day, she was accompanied by Camilla Parker-Bowles and Queen Elizabeth herself.

Middleton accessorized today’s look with a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings, previously worn by the late Princess Diana (per People). She also paired the outfit with a white and blue Philip Treacy brimmed hat, which matched perfectly with her children’s blue outfits.

Camilla Parker-Bowles also joined the duchess on the carriage ride—and decided to revisit her royal closet as well. The Duchess of Cornwall rocked a sky blue striped dress designed by Bruce Oldfield and a brimmed hat crafted by Treacy too (royal minds think alike, we see). The royal wore the same ensemble last year while attending a horse racing tournament in Royal Ascot.

Also, it seems Prince Louis must’ve gotten the memo about re-wearing an iconic piece because the young royal sported a mini sailor suit—which was previously worn by Prince William in his childhood. At the age of two, the duke wore the outfit to Trooping, alongside his mother Diana, Prince Charles and his baby brother, Prince Harry.

Kate looks absolutely stunning as always.
