Kate Middleton Has Ultra Sweet Reunion with Midwife Who Delivered Charlotte

As any mom knows, you never forget the person who delivered your baby, and it turns out that the Duchess of Cambridge is no different.

Yesterday, during a visit to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Kate Middleton shared an emotional embrace with the midwife who helped deliver Princess Charlotte.

While touring the facilities, the duchess unexpectedly came across Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent, who helped deliver her daughter in May 2015.

The professor looked absolutely thrilled to see the royal again, giving her a warm hug (not exactly royal protocol, but surely those rules don’t apply to the woman who helped you through childbirth).

According to People, Dunkley-Bent said, “It was a surprise and an absolute pleasure to be reunited with Kate again today. Supporting families at the birth of their baby—including future kings and queens—is hugely rewarding and we’re very grateful to have the Duchess of Cambridge’s support for the nursing profession.”

Later in the day, Kate visited St. Thomas’ Hospital and its Snow Leopard Ward at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, where she joked that “William’s in denial” about the arrival of baby number three (due in April).

She then appeared with Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the first annual Royal Foundation Forum, marking their first official appearance as a royal foursome. Hey, what’s a girl got to do to get an invite?
