Kate Middleton's Brother, James, Just Adopted a Baby Sheep for His 34th Birthday (& Yes, We Have Pics)

Last year, James Middleton celebrated his birthday with a brand-new beehive gifted by his sister, Kate Middleton. And this year, it seems like he’s ringing in 34 with a different kind of creaturel—a baby sheep.

On Thursday, the birthday boy shared a slideshow on his personal Instagram account paying tribute to his furry friends and introducing his followers to the latest addition to his family.

“Today is my birthday & I'm celebrating with my wonderful fiancee Alizee, and of course all the dogs and a new member of the pack,” he captioned the social media post. “So you might be wondering why there is a little lamb in the photo… well Captain is partially blind & rejected by his mother so we’ve adopted him… although I think he now thinks he’s a spaniel.” Um, we officially need a pet lamb.

The youngest Middleton sibling also used the opportunity to “reflect.” He even spoke candidly about how his animals have played a huge role in supporting him during difficult times. He continued, “I always reflect on my Birthday and I'm truly so thankful to Ella for bringing me so much happiness into my life. She was the one who introduced me to Alizee, she supported me during my experience with clinical depression, she has kept me young & active and is the driving force behind my motivation to launch @ella.co.”

Welcome to the family, Captain! We can’t wait to see more pics of you and your brothers and sisters.
