Halsey Just Welcomed a Baby Boy (& We Have the First Photos)

Big congrats are in order for Halsey!

The 26-year-old singer gave birth to their first child this past week. They announced the news in a surprise Instagram post, where they uploaded two intimate black-and-white photos taken from the hospital, along with a caption that said, “Gratitude. For the most 'rare' and euphoric birth. Powered by love. Ender Ridley Aydin. 7/14/2021.”

In the slideshow, the musician offered two glimpses of baby Ender sleeping and breastfeeding. Halsey's boyfriend, Alev Aydin, is seen in the first image, looking lovingly at the newborn.

Fellow artists sent messages of love and congratulations to the couple, like Demi Lovato, who said, “Congratulations!!!!” Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo wrote, “The most beautiful family! congratulations.” Meanwhile, makeup artist Manny Gutierrez said, “CONGRATS MAMMA!!!!!! so so so happy for you ♥♥ so beautiful.”

The news of Halsey's pregnancy was dropped back in January, when the singer posted a series of photos shot by Sam Dameshek that showed off their baby bump. The caption read, “Surprise!”

Halsey, who revealed they had a miscarriage back in 2015, has talked openly about wanting to raise a child. As People noted, the singer mentioned their experiences in the liner notes of their second album, Manic, by saying, “I've been really open about my struggles with reproductive health, about wanting to freeze my eggs and having endometriosis and things like that. For a long time, I didn't think that having a family was something I was going to be able to do, and it's very, very important to me.”

Welcome to the world, baby Ender!
