The singer broke the exciting news in a surprise Instagram post featuring a slideshow of maternity photos on Wednesday. In the pics, which were shot by photographer Sam Dameshek, Halsey cradled her baby bump while donning a crochet bra and baggy denim jeans. "Surprise!" she captioned the sweet snaps, alongside a milk bottle, rainbow and angel emoji.
Unfortunately, few other details have been revealed relating to the pregnancy. However, she tagged screenwriter, Alev Aydin, in the post, which he reshared on his IG Story. Not to mention, Aydin left a loving message in the comment section of the post, writing, "Heart so full, I love you, sweetness." To which she responded “I love you!!!!! And I love this mini human already!”
“Doing ovarian reserve is important for me, because I’m fortunate enough to have that as an option, and I need to be aggressive about protecting my fertility [and] about protecting myself,” Halsey said on an episode of The Doctors, per Us Weekly. “Reproductive illness is so frustrating because it can really make you feel like less of a woman. You don’t feel sexy, you don’t feel proud, and you don’t feel like there’s much hope, so taking these measures to make sure that I get to have a hopefully bright future and achieve the things that I want to achieve by doing the ovarian reserve is really important.”
