Amanda Peet Took a Page from the Meghan Markle Fashion Book at the ‘Game of Thrones’ Premiere

First Blake Lively and Jennifer Garner took a sartorial cue from Meghan Markle, but now Amanda Peet is the latest actress to twin with the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex. Peet lived her best Meghan Markle life on the Game of Thrones season eight premiere red carpet last night at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The 47-year-old Brockmire star wore the same Caroline Herrera blue floral print maxi dress Markle wore while on royal tour in Morocco.

The duchess donned a custom version of the silk gown during her last night on the tour when she and her husband, Prince Harry, visited with King Mohammed VI of Morocco at his royal residence. Markle made slight modifications to the gown to make it more royal protocol-friendly and to accommodate her growing baby bump. Instead of a standard waistline, she opted for a drop waist and forwent the sheer sleeves for a more modest option. The pregnant duchess let the dress shine by pulling her hair back into a low bun and wearing minimal makeup and jewelry.

Peet attended the premiere to support her husband, David Benioff, who conceived the Game of Thrones TV series alongside his writing partner D.B. Weiss. And although she technically wore the same dress as the Duchess of Sussex, Peet went for the original version, which features a gathered elastic waist and sheer flutter sleeves. She, too, kept her makeup light and glow-y and didn’t overpower the gown with jewelry. Instead of a sleek bun, however, she opted for her signature loose California girl waves.

Different versions of the flowy frock aside, we can all agree that Peet’s outfit inspo was right on point.
