Florence Pugh’s Sparkly Outfit Was a Welcome Distraction from the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Drama

All eyes were on Florence Pugh at the Venice Film Festival, but not for reasons you’d expect.

Yesterday, the Little Women star, 26, attended the world premiere of her upcoming film, Don’t Worry Darling. While many fans expected to witness red-carpet tension between Pugh and Olivia Wilde (more on this later), that wasn’t the case. Not only did Pugh avoid all interactions with the director, but she also stole the show in a sparkly outfit.

Pugh wore a showstopping sheer gown by Valentino Haute Couture that featured a revealing slit right down the middle. She accessorized the look with diamond jewelry and statement feathered heels.

Don’t Worry Darling has been making headlines as of late, but not in a good way. It all started when Pugh hinted that she and Wilde (who directed the film) had a falling out. At the Venice Film Festival, Pugh missed a press conference for Don’t Worry Darling because she had a prior Dune commitment, but her absence didn’t go unnoticed.

The movie tells the story of a newlywed couple (played by Pugh and Harry Styles), who reside in an experimental utopian community called Victory. When the wife realizes that her husband may be hiding dark secrets, chaos ensues.

Despite the drama, Don’t Worry Darling received a five-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival, so sounds like it’ll be worth the watch when it hits theaters on September 23.
