Drew Barrymore Experiences ‘First Perimenopause Hot Flash’ During a Live Interview—See Her Reaction

From candidly talking about her sex life to her deepest parenting struggles, Drew Barrymore’s openness never ceases to amaze us. During a recent episode of her daytime talk show, the actress, 48, experienced her first perimenopause hot flash...and it all happened on live television.

On Monday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the Never Been Kissed alum chatted with stars Jennifer Aniston (54) and Adam Sandler (56) about their new movie, Murder Mystery 2 (now streaming on Netflix, btw). During the interview, Barrymore became flushed and proceeded to remove her blazer. 

“I am so hot, I think I’m having my first perimenopause hot flashes,” Barrymore shared with the viewers.

Concerned, Sandler reached over and touched her hand. “Yeah, you got a hot hand!” he said. Barrymore jokingly responded, “That’s good because if it was cold, that would be very worrisome.” This made Aniston, Sandler and the audience laugh along with her. 

Shortly after the episode aired, Barrymore posted a video clip on her personal TikTok page. In the comments section, her supporters praised her for openly talking about menopause. One fan wrote, “I don’t know [if] I have ever heard a celebrity talk about a flash in the moment. Thank you for being so real.” Another said, “Love that you are so genuine, also welcome to the club!!!”
