Will Colton Underwood Get Engaged on ‘The Bachelor’? Here’s Why It’s Unlikely

This week on The Bachelor, Colton Underwood narrowed it down to the final three women: Cassie, Hannah G. and Tayshia. But one question still remains: Is Underwood ready for marriage?

While we don’t know the 26-year-old virgin’s fate (yet), I can’t see him walking away as an engaged man. Why? It all comes down to the fact that he’s inexperienced and doesn’t know what he wants. (There, I said it.)

OK, I’m not predicting he’ll pull a Brad Womack and choose no one. But it wouldn’t be completely out of character for Underwood to have a mental breakdown moments before the big decision, ultimately forcing him to send both women home before throwing himself a pity party.

The proof is in the first trailer, which features Underwood crying over his fear of getting rejected. It was only a matter of time before the producers arranged just that. (Kidding…sorta.)

I mean, the guy hasn’t even lost his virginity. Do you really expect him to give himself to one woman for the rest of his life? While the producers might answer “yes,” I can’t help but feel like Underwood isn’t sold on proposing.

So, that leaves us with two alternatives: Underwood could ask his final lady to continue dating off-camera or end up a single man.

Regardless of the outcome, Neil Lane is patiently waiting for his cue.
