Demi Moore’s Strapless Dress Won the Red Carpet Last Night (but Ariana Grande’s See-Through Look Was a Close Second)

The Substance actress stole the show in a dark blue strapless dress by Schiaparelli Couture, which featured an embellished neckline and a bandage-like skirt that unraveled toward the bottom. 

She wasn’t the only celebrity who caught my attention. My eyes were also drawn to Ariana Grande, who wore a see-through look by Christian Dior.

The gown had a fitted top and a structured skirt that resembled a bird’s nest, complete with twig-like tendrils hanging down. 

Grande’s Wicked co-star, Cynthia Erivo, turned heads in a black fitted dress by Armani Privé, which featured a plunging neckline.

Amid all the gowns and glamour, there was also Nicole Kidman, who rocked an oversized suit (tie included). 

The 2025 Critics Choice Awards were hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler. The ceremony was supposed to take place earlier this year, but it was postponed due to the Los Angeles wildfires. Anora won the award for Best Picture, but the victory was overshadowed by other films—including Wicked, Emilia Pérez and The Substance—all of which won three awards. 

Best dressed is an understatement.
