Dax Shepard has appeared in several noteworthy TV shows—like Parenthood, The Ranch and Bless This Mess—but that doesn’t mean his two daughters, Lincoln (7) and Delta (5), are impressed by his celebrity status.
PureWow recently sat down for an exclusive interview with the 45-year-old actor, who is currently promoting his partnership with Planet Oat. While discussing his kids, Shepard admitted that his career has “never been a secret” to them. However, they couldn’t be more unimpressed by his résumé.
“They don’t care. They’re not impressed. They don’t seem to think about it,” he told PureWow. “They’re aware that when we go to the airport, people are interested in us, but that’s how it’s always been when we go to the airport.”
Shepard went on to describe Lincoln’s first realization about her parents’ fame, adding, “At some point around six years old, my daughter somehow became aware of this term ‘famous’ and what it means. I think for her, famous means the Jonas Brothers. Famous means one of the kids on Disney Channel.”
