Colton Underwood Gives Dedicated ‘Bachelor’ Fan ‘Major Props’ for Her Venmo Theory

Ready your Bachelor bracket, because one superfan just revealed her fool-proof method for predicting the winner. The best part? Colton Underwood gave her “major props” for figuring it out.

It all started when Twitter user @clur19 prompted a conversation about the high (or low?) point of her 2019. She wrote, “What’s the most psycho thing you did in 2019? I’ll go first! I stalked Colton’s Venmo friends to see who he picked and then I knew who won The Bachelor months before anyone else did.”

Somehow, Underwood, who starred on season 23 of The Bachelor and ultimately ended up with Cassie Randolph, caught wind of the theory and replied.

“Major props to you,” he wrote to @clur19. Like the rest of us, he was curious to know how Venmo helped her crack the case of who would receive his final rose. So, Underwood asked, “What gave it away?”

@Clur19’s response was pure gold.

“Wow this is the most embarrassing moment of my life, but you were friends with all the Randolphs. Also ur welcome for the Venmo that one night my friends said I was lying about finding you,” she wrote.

She included a screen shot of her sending Underwood $1 for “doing a great job breaking up with them, sweetie.”

Now for the question you’ve all been waiting for: Does this theory hold up with season 24 Bachelor Peter Weber? As of publication, the 28-year-old pilot is not Venmo friends with any of the women vying for his heart (yes, this editor awkwardly Venmoed him $2 to find out). That said, Underwood could have alerted the Bachelor powers that be to this theory, leading Weber to promptly clean up his Venmo account. Who knows?

All we can say is that we’ll be keeping a steady eye on Weber’s Venmo account when season 24 of The Bachelor premieres on Monday, January 6, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
