Bachelor in Paradise alum Clay Harbor just confirmed what we all saw coming: Former Bachelor Peter Weber is apparently dating Kelley Flanagan.
The professional football player, 32, shared the couple’s secret last night while hosting an Instagram Live Q&A with Chris Randone. It all started when Harbor revealed that Flanagan is an acquaintance, saying, “I’ve met Kelley because she’s from Chicago.”
Randone didn’t waste any time cutting to the chase, demanding insider knowledge. “Homegirl’s dating Peter, right?” he asked.
Harbor casually responded, “Yes.” And then added, “We’ll talk more about that in a second.”
Wait, what? We’re not totally surprised by the confession, since Weber and Flanagan have been hanging out after The Bachelor finale. Still, this is the first time that anyone—we repeat, anyone—has confirmed that it’s a romantic fling, not a friendship, so we’re extremely intrigued.
Harbor went on to explain why he thinks Weber and Flanagan are a great fit, based on what he saw when they visited Chicago.
“I think it makes more sense with Kelley,” he added. “He can have conversations with her, you know? Honestly, physically speaking, I think Pete’s season of women was unbelievably physically attractive, but I think that, you know, a lot of them weren’t as mature as maybe sometimes they have been in the past.”
We can’t deny that Flanagan was one of the more mature contestants, and that’s probably because she’s an attorney for a national property tax law firm. Still, we can’t help but wonder why Weber sent her home in episode seven of The Bachelor if there was any chance at a future with Flanagan. *Cue the awkward discussion*
