The 34-year-old model also revealed that she and Legend already had a name in mind for their little boy. "We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital," she revealed. "But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever."
She continued, "To our Jack - I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you."
The sad news comes just a few days after Teigen was admitted at the hospital for severe pregnancy bleeding. After she received blood transfusions, she recalled having a "scary morning" when doctors found a "huge clot." At the time, she tweeted that it was "almost save-worthy" and that "the scramble to hear the heartbeat seemed like hours."
It's the kind of openness and transparency that fans would expect from Teigen, who currently shares both Luna and Miles with her husband. And now, countless fans and celebrities are offering their love and support. Viola Davis wrote, "So very sorry Chrissy and John. A big virtual hug of love, love, love...and more." Angela Kinsey added, "My heart is breaking for you. I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending you all of my love."
To her followers, Teigen wrote, "Thank you to everyone who has been sending us positive energy, thoughts and prayers. We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you. We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it."
