Attention All Nutella Fans: Chocolate Hazelnut M&M’s Are Coming This April

hazelnut mms nutella inspired candy

We love Nutella on toast, in cookiespancakes and mousse…or just eaten with a spoon straight from the jar. But our by-the-spoonful way of consuming the chocolate hazelnut spread can be a little messy and isn’t exactly portable.

Thankfully, the geniuses over at Mars, Incorporated have solved this pressing issue by creating a mouthwatering Nutella-inspired snack—hazelnut M&M’s made with a creamy, nutty filling and a candy-coated milk chocolate shell. They may not technically be using Nutella, but all signs point to yum.

Finally, we can bring our love for the creamy spread with us wherever we go—to the movies, to the park or to an afternoon work meeting (hey, we need a pick-me-up).

Here’s what to expect from the treat, per a recent press release: “M&M’S Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies feature a hazelnut spread center, covered in delicious milk chocolate, offering a delectable and trend-forward combination of chocolate and hazelnut flavors in every bite-sized piece.” Sign. Us. Up.

The new flavor was announced by the candy company back in September 2018 and finally, the delicious day is here. Grab your bag of hazelnut M&M’s (you can’t miss them—the packaging is bright teal) from a store near you this April—just in time for Easter. But this is no limited-time only offer. Mars, Inc. have confirmed that the Nutella-inspired treats will be a permanent fixture in their collection.

Hazelnut Spread M&M’s will be available in a single pack, share size and the larger (8.3-ounce) sharing size stand-up pouch (aka the best way to eat M&M’s, in our humble opinion). The sharing size stand-up pouch will cost $3.99

Only one question remains—could this treat dethrone Cadbury Mini Eggs as our favorite Easter candy of all time? Watch this space.
