In our Instagram-fueled dreams, we have a happy collection of thriving houseplants arranged cheerfully in our sun-dappled living room. In reality, it’s more like a single, half-dead cactus in a paper cup. And let’s not forget that indoor gardening is expensive, dammit. That’s why we scoured Amazon—and found the cutest indoor planter that also happens to be pretty cheap.
The Rivet Mid-Century Ceramic Planter looks more like something you’d spend $80 on at a boutique-y home goods store than something you got delivered to your door for less than $30 (including shipping, obvi). The two-toned ceramic pot sits on top of a three-legged iron stand to give your plant family some dimension, and the 8-inch diameter is roomy enough for any pothos or peace lily. It comes in four muted earth tones, but we’re partial to the green. The only caveat? There’s no drain hole, so you’ll want to pot your verdure in a plastic nursery pot for easy watering.
And don’t take it from just us; this baby has 4.4 stars out of five. Says one Amazon reviewer: “It’s such a nice looking planter with high quality ceramic that feels hefty and thick.” Another buyer says, “I loved the planter so much I purchased the other sizes.” Yet another describes it as “perfectly lovely,” which is, frankly, a good enough review for us. Truth be told, it probably won’t help us keep our plants alive (it just wasn’t in the cards for us)…but it’ll definitely up our decor game, and that’s half the battle, right?
Our thumbs are looking greener already.
