Ben Affleck Says His Kids Were Speechless When They Met This Pop Star (No, It's Not J.Lo)

One of the perks of having famous parents: You might get the opportunity to meet one of your biggest idols. However, during a visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show, Ben Affleck discussed how his teenage daughters “clammed up” when they met Taylor Swift, and we gotta say, we'd probably be right there with them.

When Kelly Clarkson got on the subject of how her daughters get shy when meeting other celebrities, Affleck chimed in with his own story, saying, “I took my daughters to meet Taylor Swift...and I was like, ‘We came all the way here and it's Taylor Swift! Say something!’” He then mimicked their shocked, wide-eyed faces, demonstrating how they wouldn't say a word when they encountered the famous singer-songwriter.

Clarkson piped in with her agreement, saying, “And then you look like a liar! You're like, ‘I swear they know your songs.’”

Affleck laughed and said he told Swift, “I'm telling you they're fans...They know who you are.” (But we'd bet money Swift is used to this kind of reaction.)

As Vanity Fair pointed out, the Argo actor has discussed his own love for Swift's music in the past. During a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2017, Affleck mentioned the many interests of his daughters, describing how they love listening to Radio Disney music and adding, “We go to Taylor Swift concerts and that's my life.” He also made sure to say, “Taylor Swift is great, by the way, she's a great role model.”

Affleck and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, share two daughters: Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13. The pair also share a 9-year-old son named Samuel.

Violet and Seraphina shouldn't worry though, because we'd imagine anyone would be starstruck meeting Miss Swift.
