Does Elyse Unexpectedly Leave ‘The Bachelor’? Next Week’s Trailer Teased Just That

While last night’s episode of The Bachelor introduced a brand-new rivalry, we can’t stop thinking about what goes down between Elyse and Colton Underwood in next week’s installment.

Following yesterday’s episode of the popular dating series, ABC debuted a teaser that will have Elyse fans questioning her endgame.

ICYMI: The video shows Underwood cuddling with a contestant in bed and joking that he doesn’t normally do this. *Eye roll*

Cut to Elyse sobbing to the camera, claiming she made a huge mistake, followed by Underwood having a mental breakdown and hopping a fence while the other contestants watch in horror.

OK, it’s important to note that this doesn’t mean that he loses his virginity. (Nice try, producers.) However, it is making us think twice about the self-proclaimed cougar.

Although Elyse and Underwood hit it off during their one-on-one date in episode three, they haven’t spent much time together since then. And while the trailer confirms they have physical chemistry, we think the drama has nothing to do with intimacy.

Why? First, Underwood has made it very clear how much he values his virginity. And second, the producers are practically pros at piecing together clips and creating dramatic scenarios that don’t exist, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Elyse’s “big mistake” just so happens to be a confession gone awry.

Did Elyse accidentally seal her fate? Or is that what the producers want us to think? Guess we’ll have to wait until The Bachelor returns to ABC next Monday, February 4, at 8 p.m.
