Just When You Thought Things Couldn’t Get More Awkward on ‘The Bachelor,’ This Madison & Victoria Deleted Scene Surfaced

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

The closer we get to the finale of Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, the more awkward things get. Case in point? Chris Harrison and the rest of the Bachelor powers that be decided it’d be really fun to make Madison, Victoria and Hannah Ann room together for the fantasy suite portion of the show. (So masochistic.) Obviously, tensions were high on-screen, but it turns out things were even dicier in footage that never aired.

ABC just shared a deleted scene of Victoria and Madison receiving a date card and reacting with appropriate discomfort. It’s honestly so cringe-worthy you probably won’t want to watch it more than once.

In the clip, the women are sitting in the living room of their hotel room fake smiling at each other when someone knocks on the door. Madison answers and says, “Ooo, date card.” They both feign excitement, until Madison opens the envelope and reads, “Victoria, let’s let our love rise above it all…-Peter.” The look on Madison’s face is almost like she thought there was a chance Victoria might not get a date card. Although Victoria says in a confessional segment that she “need[s] this date with Peter so bad. There’s just so much more that needs to be said and there’s just so much more that needs to be figured out before we can even talk about an engagement,” even she looks like she’s dying to get out of that room.

After receiving Victoria’s date card, Madison does her best to act composed and happy for her fellow contestant, but the look on her face says it all. “Victoria is going on the date tomorrow and I have no idea what they’re doing and if they are going to go to the fantasy suite and the decisions that they’re going to make behind closed doors,” she says. “I have no idea. The unknown is always uneasy.” You could cut the tension with a knife.

This is feeling more and more like a soap opera every day and we love it. Find out what happens next when The Bachelor returns with the final rose ceremony and the Women Tell All episode on Monday, March 2, at 8 p.m. PT/ET on ABC.
