Antoni Porowski Reveals How He Makes Holiday Entertaining Less Stressful (It Involves Cheese)

Antoni Porowski might have some divisive opinions about cheese, but it turns out he’s a complete gem when it comes to doling out entertaining advice. The Queer Eye food expert recently popped into the PureWow offices to host an impromptu cheese party with Boursin, and we had to know how he handles the pressure of party after holiday party.

“My top entertaining tip? I think a mistake that a lot of people make is that they get intimidated,” he told us, “and then they over-complicate things because it’s the holidays—there are so many emotions and feelings that are tied into a compressed amount of time between Thanksgiving and Christmas and Hanukkah and beyond. But you can actually keep it really simple and still make things elevated but not intimidating.”

You heard it from Antoni: Do less.

No surprises, he puts his advice into practice by serving cheese to his holiday guests. “I love Boursin because you can dress it up and make it chic,” he said, “by drizzling some agrodolce—honey cooked with red wine vinegar, chili flakes and rosemary—and a homemade pine nut or hazelnut brittle, or you can keep it as simple as just getting some really cute crackers, setting up a cheese and charcuterie board and getting as elaborate or as simple as you want.”

That sounds like our kind of party.
