The initial ten-second clip didn’t give too much away, featuring Adele driving a car that’s attached to a trailer. (Of course, her signature winged eyeliner is on full display.) As the soothing piano ballad plays in the background, sheet music can be seen flying out the windows.
None of this should come as a huge surprise because many people had suspected that the singer was releasing new music. It all started earlier this month when the number “30” was projected at several highly trafficked locations around the world, including the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Colosseum in Rome, the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, the Nemo Museum in Amsterdam and the Empire State Building in New York.
The news immediately caught the attention of Adele fans, since many correctly guessed her new album would be titled 30 as a follow-up to her previous releases, 19, 21 and 25. Shortly after, Adele updated her official website and social media pages.
“Easy on Me” is already stuck in our head (and we know we’re not alone here).
