Tabitha Brown poses by pool with new Target collection
Target

Tabitha Brown has big plans this summer: pool days, cookouts, movie nights on the lawn, dance parties under the stars. "My son and I are going to be three shades darker by the end of summer," she laughs over Zoom. The actress, cookbook author and TikTok star is gearing up to launch the latest installment in her collection for Target, and it's entirely focused on outdoor entertaining.

Her goal? Making people "feel like they're at a big family reunion all over the world," with furniture, accessories, games and cookware awash in pattern and color. Each piece is vibrant, joyful and designed to help people connect.

Though the line isn't on sale until May 14, Brown gave us a sneak peek at the products. Here, we're sharing some of our favorites, so you can plan accordingly for the moment the collection drops. (After all, it's not uncommon for Target drops to sell out almost as quickly as they hit stores, so bookmark this page for next Sunday.)

We're Obsessed with Target's Spring Designer Collection

Tab is calling it: Outdoor bean bags and cushions are going to be summer's hottest backyard trend. She recently spotted them all over while vacationing in Dubai, and has seen people toting them to the beach instead of folding chairs. Sounds way more comfortable to us. (Psst: This design features a water-resistant fabric, so you can tote yours to the shore too.)

How fun is this striped outdoor speaker? It's water resistant, Bluetooth-enabled and can be charged via USB, so all you need is a phone and a Spotify account to get the party going.

With this tote, you have no excuse not to go on at least one picnic this summer. The stain-resistant bag is easy to wipe clean, and it's roomy enough to keep entire bottles of rosé chilled, as well as other snacks (perhaps the makings of a charcuterie board to go with it?). There's even a dry storage area and outside compartment, so you can stow napkins, cutlery and your phone and keys.

Your local theater's got nothing on your backyard—once you blow up this inflatable screen. Just set up a projector, some floor cushions and grab the popcorn, and come nightfall, you've got the hottest ticket in town. (We love the fact that it deflates, taking up hardly any space when it's not in use.)

Cooking veggies outdoors gets a whole lot easier with these colorful grill trays. (No more threading kabobs!) Simply toss them in the basket, place on the grill and get to it. Each one is made of nonstick cast iron, so your food won't stick and the heat will be evenly distributed.

C'mon, how cute is this towel? What's even better, though, is its terry velour fabric, which is soft to the touch and absorbent. And, at 72 inches long, it's just the right length for sunbathing.

This reversible pillow features Brown's signature greeting—a cheery "Hello there!"—on one side, and on the other, an on-trend citrus pattern. It's just the right touch to quickly update your old patio set without breaking your budget.

8. Playing Cards

Target

When we asked Brown which item in her collection she was most excited about, her answer surprised us: playing cards. But the reason was two-fold. "I grew up playing cards," she explained, adding that it's an easy item to always have on hand and get people playing and laughing, no cheesy icebreakers needed. Plus, the ones she designed feature her signature colors and patterns—as well as fun graphics in place of the traditional hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds.

Check out the rest of the line ahead of the May 14 launch here.
