A few weeks ago, I had the chance to see a bunch of Narwal's high-tech cleaning devices (which Vanessa Hudgens loves, BTW) in action, and immediately knew I had to try one out. The vacuums and mops (which are available as both standing and robot designs) were *so* impressive at cleaning up both liquid spills and dry messes at first glance, but since they don't come cheap, I wanted to put one to the test in my own home to find out if they're really worth their price tag. I opted for the Narwal S30 Pro model (was $550, now $500), which is a cordless wet/dry vacuum mop, and I have to say, I'm impressed. Here's everything you need to know about the multi-use wonder—because, yes, you can snag it on sale now thanks to Amazon October Prime Day.

My Experience Using the Narwal S30 Pro Wet/Dry Vacuum Mop

As the TikTok from creator @nottheworstcleaner shows above, this wet/dry mop can seriously do it all. While I haven't gone so far as to crack eggs on my floor to test it (although you can see the proof that it works well even for that!), it does pick up any and all crumbs and hair—both my dog's and my own—effortlessly.

I, like many other buyers of the S30 Pro, also really appreciate the self-cleaning mode, which is equipped with a built-in cutter to tackle any tangled hairs. When you're done mopping and vacuuming your floors, you simply attach the device back on the base and click the mode button for it to begin drying and self-cleaning. The dirty water is collected in a tank at the back, where you can also attach a disposable waste bag to collect hair and whatever else you've swept up.

What I Like

  • Self-cleaning
  • Multiple cleaning modes
  • Easy to use

What I Don't Like

  • Self-propelling feature can take a bit to get used to

Narwal

Another thing I love about the S30 Pro wet/dry vacuum mop is the different cleaning modes it can be set to. There's a touch screen at the top (pictured above) that allows you to select between suction, AI (which automatically detects the amount of dirt on your floor and adjusts the cleaning power accordingly), wood floor and quiet modes, and you can even select the "max enhancement" that allows for maximum power for really heavy messes.

I use the wood floor mode the most, which uses just enough detergent to make my floors feel totally clean, but doesn't leave them so wet that I feel like it's damaging them or I have to wait forever to walk on them again. The suction/vacuum mode has also been super effective in the small space I've tried it, and I think I'd like it even more if I had a large rug to use it on. One thing to note is that it does have a self-propelling feature that took me a bit to get used to, but once I did, I found that it makes the vacuum mop feel lighter and easier to control.

So, Is the Narwal S30 Pro Wet/Dry Vacuum Mop Worth the Money?

Narwal

Well, if you can't already tell, I think the Narwal S30 Pro is definitely worth it for its versatile cleaning modes, effectiveness and convenient self-cleaning. Since it's so effortless, I don't mind giving my floors a quick touch-up daily, and its compact design is easy to store even in a studio apartment. I'd definitely recommend picking up one for yourself if you want a fast, effective cleaning device that takes so much of the work out of it for you—especially now that it's $55 off for Prime Big Deal Days.
