Outback Steakhouse is perhaps most famous for its steak and Bloomin’ Onion appetizer. But as it turns out, the iconic restaurant chain has chicken wings on the menu, too. And for a limited time, they’re at the center of a twisted, fiery game of fate: Hot Wing Roo-lette.
This Off-Menu Outback Steakhouse Item Is for Spice Lovers Only—Can You Take the Heat?
It’s a tasty game of luck

Starting April 21 at participating locations nationwide, you can order a plate of five wings for $10. You’ll have to specify the Hot Wing Roo-lette to your server. (It’s off-menu, so IYKYK.) They’ll be brought to you positioned around a spinner. Four of the wings are mild, while one will deliver a smoking-hot kangaroo kick of spice. Take turns spinning the wheel to determine which wing is destined for your plate.
If you land on a mild wing, you’re in the clear. If you land on the hot one, you’re in for a scorching treat. Even better, you’ll receive a limited-edition pin, while supplies last, for your service. The chain also encourages guests to record or stream their gameplay or reactions on social media with the hashtag #HotWingRooletteChallenge.
From what I can tell, the mild wings and the hot wing look indistinguishable, so you won’t be able to tweak or finesse your way into the perfect spin. It’s a fun way to spice up (sorry) a typical appetizer, if you ask me.
No matter which you land on though, cool off with a house kiwi-strawberry lemonade. Thank me later.
