In case you somehow haven’t heard, McDonald’s just brought back its beloved Snack Wraps, which fans have been clamoring for since they were nixed from the menu in 2016. But don’t let that eclipse what other deliciousness is available at the fast food chain. For instance, there’s a new, limited-time S’mores McFlurry, launched especially for summer. But how does it compare to the year-round varieties?

I headed to the nearest location to try the trio of soft serves to bring you this ranking of McDonald’s McFlurrys, complete with honest reviews and original photos. This way, you’ll know which sweet treat to order next time you hit the drive-thru.

3. McFlurry with M&M’s Candies

  • What It Is: creamy vanilla soft serve with crunchy M&M’s
  • Price (mini): $3

Listen, McDonald’s soft serve is pretty flawless. It’s rich, flavorful and notably more substantial than competitor equivalents (read: not half air). But M&M’s are not the ideal pairing. The candy’s crispness is nice, but the chocolate stays cold and hard. It’s like tossing chocolate chips on ice cream—they’re fine, but better melted. Also, maybe it’s just me, but their color bleeds into a muddy pool of soft serve soup after a few minutes and makes the McFlurry look less appetizing.

2. Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry

  • What It Is: creamy vanilla soft serve with Hershey’s milk chocolate, graham crackers and soft marshmallows
  • Price (mini): $3

This summer stunner is available through August 11, and fans of the fast food dessert should give it a taste before it’s gone. The flavor definitely gives s’mores; the graham offers a slightly salty contrast to the chocolate and soft serve, while the marshmallows are sweet and nostalgic with a toasty edge (think cereal marshmallows with more chew, and less like Styrofoam). That said, they also taste very artificial, and the crackers lose their crispness after a bit, but overall, this McDonald’s McFlurry is worth a try.

1. McFlurry with Oreo Cookies

  • What It Is: creamy vanilla soft serve with crunchy Oreo cookie pieces
  • Price (mini): $3

Yup, the O.G. remains undefeated. Oreos tend to stay crunchy for the long haul, and they mix into the soft serve without ruining its appearance. The creamy notes of the filling offer soft, silky texture to the smooth, melty base, but the cookies’ saltiness is what really takes the treat over the top, making every bite beautifully balanced rather than cloying. Hot tip: I used to order extra Oreo pieces so they would be at the top and bottom of the cup, but now that the precious mini size exists, you can nail the perfect ratio for less. Thank me later.
