I'm petite, not into full tummy-baring outfits and have a full bust that needs support when I'm running and jumping. I was able to note all of this in Wantable's initial questionnaire for the Active edit, which asks for your height, body shape and even which parts of your body you want—and don't want—to highlight. I appreciated this since it often feels like all the cute workout fits out there were made for washboard abs.
To go along with my move, I've been really trying to experiment with my look and try new things. For one, I've been loving the 2000s activewear trend lately, so I told my Wantable stylist that I was looking for more than just basic matching sets—but rather, quality pieces that I could mix, match and style beyond a workout.
With my height (and new sunny climate in mind), I was provided great options in terms of shorts and skorts—two things I really didn't have enough of and would save me the hassle of getting things hemmed or having them bunch up at my ankles. (That said, though, I also received a pair of slouchy joggers—more on those below—that are the perfect length on me.)
Wantable stocks a good variety of bottoms, tops, sports bras, sweatshirts and jackets from a range of familiar brands, including Free People Movement, Z Supply, Beyond Yoga and Interval, the latter of which made up the entirety of my first send. So far, the brand's pieces have really impressed me. They are sturdy, structured, yet still plenty stretchy, not to mention fit me like a glove. Many of the tops/bras also have (removable) cups, something I like for extra coverage.
Some standouts? A flirty red tank with a sweetheart neckline, a mini skort with a supportive high waist and slit, a sports bra that curves up to create a unique silhouette (and show off just a tad of my upper torso) and, one of my favorites, a funnel neck, retro-inspired sweatsuit jacket that feels super luxe.
So far, I've worn these pieces for high-intensity boxing classes, walks around my neighborhood and quick home workouts. Not only have they stood up to all of them, but they've also been so comfortable—and flattering, if I do say so myself.
