There’s no denying that Sarah Ferguson is by far the royal most likely to experiment with her fashion. In the past few months alone she’s been spotted wearing Barbie-pink leather, a green two-piece set from ASOS and even a black gown with cut-out shoulders paired with glittering silver sneakers. And now we’ve got another bold fashion statement to add to the lineup—a pair of black lace-up boots by Geox with a studded gold heel. Her boots may be sold out but we found fab lookalikes below like this Ninety Union pair ($110) and this Kurt Geiger London style (originally $265, now $159).

The Duchess of York stepped out on February 5 in Florida for Haute Living’s Haute 100 Miami celebration, which honors influential individuals living in Miami, wearing a military-inspired black-and-white jacket by The Extreme Collection ($1,317) layered over a black dress. She capped off the look with a pair of Geox boots with a studded gold heel from the brand’s 2019 Respira holiday collection. Unsurprisingly, her gorgeous boots are currently sold out (although you may have some luck on resale sites like Vestiaire Collective, eBay or Poshmark).

But while such a statement pair of boots might be reserved for a special occasion in the wardrobe of another royal, Ferguson has actually worn them on numerous other public outings in the past year.

On March 7, 2023, Ferguson paired her Geox booties with a black leather dress for an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan in New York where she gave an update on the late Queen’s corgis. Then, just one week later, she wore them again, this time for a book launch in London. Ironically, for the London event, the Duchess repeated yet another item from her NY trip, a heavily-embellished jacket by Alice + Olivia (originally $1,495, now $598).

If you’re looking to copy the stylish royal’s statement booties, you’re in luck. We found four chic lookalikes for a range of budgets with the same bold gold heel and posh ankle height.

The gold trim on these block-heel booties is definitely more subtle than Ferguson’s Geox pair, but that just means they’re more likely to blend in with your exisiting wardrobe. And the 2.5-inch heel height is reportedly very comfortable.

For something a bit bolder, this Kurt Geiger London boot pairs a studded heel with an intricate buckle that’s fully functional. That said, you don’t need to undo it in order to slip into and out of the boot as there’s also a hidden zipper on the inside.

These Mod-inspired booties also come in a warm camel brown, but we’re kind of loving the stark black-and-gold version to really make a statement á la the Duchess of York. The rounded heel is reportedly surprisingly comfortable, and is just over 2-inches high so it won’t put too much stress on your arches.

For the fashionista on a tight budget, these zip-up boots cost less than $20 and have a studded heel quite similar to Ferguson’s beloved Geox boot. We love that the zipper pull makes a statement too in an organic-looking oval shape.
