Not sure about you, but I have a lot of weddings circled on my calendar this spring and summer, and that means one thing—I’m in desperate need of some new wedding guest dresses. But since I can hear my mother’s voice in my head telling me that I “don’t need to buy a new outfit for every event I go to,” I’m turning to Rent the Runway to meet all of my formalwear needs without breaking the bank (or overloading my closet). If you're in the same boat this season, I suggest you follow suit. The clothing rental service has come to the rescue with its brand new spring collection, which is overflowing with gorgeous gowns and fashionable frocks from some of the hottest designer brands.

Unfamiliar with how to use the platform? Allow me to explain. There are two different options when it comes to rentals. For starters, Rent the Runway offers a one-time rental option, which allows you to reserve an outfit up to 60 days before your event, just for the price of the rental—which, of course, is *way* below retail price. The company will ship it to you one to two days before you need it, and you can keep it for up to eight days. (Psst: If it's your first time doing an event rental, you can save 20 percent on your order with code GETDRESSED.) Now, let’s say you’re like me and have multiple events coming up that you need multiple outfits for. In that case, you can take full advantage of Rent the Runway’s various subscription packages, which give you the option of choosing five, ten or 20 items per month. The plans start at $79 for the first month, and are as low as $94 every month after that.

There are hundreds of designer brands available in the Rent the Runway catalog, and you’ll have plenty of fabulous looks to choose from. And should you fall in love with any of the pieces that you borrow, Rent the Runway has an affordable rent-to-own service that allows you to purchase a piece to keep in your permanent collection. Now that you've gotten the rundown, take a gander at these eight designer dresses up for grabs just in time for wedding season.

1. Ieena for Mac Duggal Ruffle Dress

Ieena for Mac Duggal

You should definitely say yes to this dress for the season, as it has a totally on-trend bohemian look thanks to its ruffled design. It also features a unique lace layover at the neckline that allows a bit of skin to show through, while the airy short sleeves should keep you cool on warm days. Not to mention, it's earned high praise from reviewers. One previous renter wrote, "I felt so pretty in this dress. It's gorgeous in person and has so many details and beautiful stitching. I got so many compliments."

Sexy, slinky and oh-so sophisticated, this floral gown was practically made for fancy spring and summertime affairs. While the backless cut allows you to show off some skin, the high neck, complete with a playful rosette detail and flowy sash, keeps the frock feeling effortlessly elegant and perfect for a wedding.

A pretty mini is an essential piece for daytime weddings, garden parties and brunch bashes, which is why I'm eyeing this number from Maje. The ruching at the waist creates an hourglass silhouette, while also providing a decent amount of stretch to keep you comfortable throughout the celebrations. Plus, the V-neckline feels flirty, but isn't too scandalous for a wedding, so it's a win all around.

There’s just something about the flutter sleeves and stunning floral pattern of this dress that screams "Amalfi Coast." But even if you're not heading to Italy to wear it, the maxi's breezy fit and 100 percent cotton fabric make it an ideal choice for all sorts of summer weddings, both domestic and international. The smocked waist can stretch with you so that you don’t feel too restricted during dinner, while the neckline has a clasp that you can keep closed for more coverage.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a refined cocktail dress, this luxe and lacy strapless number won't disappoint. I'm obsessed with the fitted bodice and corset detail at the back, which makes it that much more unique. Add in those pretty polished buttons and the bow detail at the waist, and you have a dress that's guaranteed to earn you compliments all night long.

Yet another perfect pick for a destination wedding or sunny beachside soirée is this verdant, White Lotus-esque design from Marie Oliver. Boasting a flattering silhouette complete with tie straps and a fun, flouncy detail at the waist, the 100 percent cotton frock is basically begging for a spot in your suitcase. And trust me, it deserves it.

Speaking of standout dresses, this one from Ulla Johnson is beautiful. The rich colors in the floral print are so perfect for the season, and the voluminous tiered skirt will have you wanting to twirl on the dance floor for hours on end. And don't worry, when you find yourself doing just that, the 100 percent cotton fabric will surely keep you cool.

This sleek one-shoulder pick will have you feeling like a goddess thanks to its flowy, yet figure-skimming design. The satin fabric should drape over your form as gorgeously as it glides through the room, and thanks to the full lining, nothing underneath should show through beneath the light green hue. The looser cut should also give you plenty of room to breathe and move in, so you won't feel uncomfortable wearing it from the ceremony to the reception (and maybe the after-party, too).
