Is it just me, or is this year flying by? Somehow it's already May, which means it's definitely time to start giving my wardrobe a little pick-me-up ahead of summer—and I'm turning to Nordstrom Rack to do it without breaking the bank. The retailer is stocked full of vacation-ready styles at serious discounts, like these trendy raffia sandals (were $130, now $70) and this patterned maxi dress (was $178, now $40) that totally deserves to be worn beachside. Below, I've added eight of my favorite finds in case your closet could use a refresh for the warm weather, too.

Raffia accessories are majorly trending this season, and I for one can't wait to pick up these sandals in the summery material. They have a low enough heel that they're sure to be comfy no matter where I wear them, and the beaded buckle is just too cute to skip. Now all that's left to do is choose between this natural straw shade or the versatile brown...

This gorgeous maxi dress is marked down by almost $140 right now, so of course it's already made its way into my cart. The dress is constructed of a stretchy rayon fabric that should feel breezy even in the heat, and to make it even better, it's machine-washable and outfitted with pockets.

If you're in need of a new swimsuit before the pool opens this season, you're not going to want to miss the deal on this sleek one-piece from Becca that saves you almost $90. The suit has both adjustable straps and a tie back, so you can really customize the fit, and one shopper raved over just how comfortable it is, too. "It is a beautiful color, flattering and very comfortable. I wore it over spring break for the first time and felt really good about myself," they wrote.

Shorts that look polished but have a completely comfy fit? Personally, I'm already sold, but you might want to know that these shorts (which come in seven different colors, BTW) are designed with a stretchy waistband, front pockets and a 3.5-inch inseam that shouldn't feel too short during family outings. Not to mention, they've earned only 5-star reviews so far, so they definitely seem to be worth snagging while they're just $25.

Now more than $100 off, this striped maxi skirt is a must. It has elastic at the back so you won't feel constricted in it, and the pattern is subtle enough that you can wear it with practically anything. To top it off, it's made from a breathable linen-blend fabric that you're sure to appreciate on those extra hot and sunny days.

Don't skip the chance to score $30 off these adorable floral-print sandals that you'll want to wear all summer long. The shoes have a contoured footbed for comfort and support, and the straps are adjustable so they shouldn't slip off. Plus, they come in a bunch of other neutral colors if you want something more versatile.

On the hunt for a good going-out top? This satin one will look fab with jeans, shorts, linen pants—you name it. It comes in three pretty floral colorways and, according to shoppers, has a perfect fit. So now that it's marked down to just $30, it's a no-brainer buy.

The nearly $100 in savings on these wide-leg jeans from Joe's is just too good to pass up. They're crafted from a blend of cotton, polyester and rayon with a touch of spandex, so I have a feeling they'll be light, soft and stretchy—i.e., just what you want for hot temps. The 28-inch inseam is also ideal for showing off your favorite sandals, so go ahead and get them into your cart while they're still in stock.
