Bras are a real conundrum, aren’t they? Yes, I want something that will support my chest and give my silhouette some nice shaping, but I also don’t want to feel like I’ve strapped the gals into a straitjacket counting down the hours until I get to take it off. And going braless isn’t really all that comfortable for a full day of activity, especially for those with a larger cup size. It’s a sort of damned if I do, damned if I don’t situation. But there is a solution: comfortable wireless bras.

No, that’s not an oxymoron—there are in fact wireless bras out there that are both comfortable and supportive. Below, I’ve rounded up six of the best styles, for a range of cup and band sizes, all with the PureWow editor stamp of approval. From surprisingly sexy lace numbers to 100-percent cotton and even a strapless option, read on for the most comfortable wireless bras to add to your top drawer, starting at just $10.

26 Strapless Bras That Won't Slip, Gape or Slouch, No Matter What, According to Our Editors & Reviewers

1. Harper Wilde Base Wirefree T-Shirt Bra

What I Like

  • molded cups give great shaping
  • straps can be worn two ways
  • smooth 360 silhouette

What I Don’t Like

  • limited color options

Harper Wilde

While many wireless bras end up fitting more like a bralette, this Harper Wilde T-shirt bra is proof that you can have a wireless design that still feels just like your favorite wired bra. The secret is all in the molded cups, which help lift and support with just the shape and fabric alone. I’ve never been annoyed by the band or straps digging in—instead they lay flat and just snug enough to feel secure but not irritating. And the nearly seamless design looks so smooth under T-shirts and tank tops. Seriously, any time I’m having a day where comfort is my main priority I reach for this bra. The band and straps are both adjustable, and the strap can be worn in the traditional H formation or hooked together for a racerback silhouette. My only gripe is that this bra comes in just three colors (beige, tan and black). P.S. The brand’s size guide is super helpful, but if you find your measurements are sitting somewhere between two different cup sizes, I recommend going for the smaller of the two to avoid any unwanted gaping.

FAST FACTS

  • Cup Size Range: A to F
  • Band Size Range: 32 to 42
  • Materials: 67 percent nylon, 33 percent elastane

2. Subset Triangle Soft Bra

What I Like

  • great color options
  • wide size range
  • adjustable straps and band

What I Don’t Like

  • unique sizing may be difficult to figure out

Subset

“This bralette is *so* comfortable thanks to its lightweight, organic cotton material,” raves Associate Commerce Editor Natalie LaBarbera, “which I especially love because so many bras are made from synthetics. I actually don't mind having it on all day. It also still feels like a ‘real’ bra thanks to its adjustable straps and hooks at the back, and it offers plenty of support still even without wires.” More than 1,000 other reviewers agree that this bra offers a surprising level of support, even for larger cup sizes. Speaking of, Subset has a unique sizing system, so be sure to double check the size chart before you add to your shopping cart. Reviewers also appreciate the impressive color selection—at the time of publishing, there are seven neutral tones to choose from, as well as five limited edition colors, all in the full-size range. Plus, this sleek design is made from organic cotton and can be recycled simply by mailing it back to Subset.

FAST FACTS

  • Size Range: XS to 2XL, also S+ to 3XL+
  • Materials: 95 percent organic cotton, 5 percent elastane

3. Wild Fable Pointelle Triangle Bralette

What I Like

  • affordable price
  • cute color options
  • adjustable straps
  • great for smaller cup sizes

What I Don’t Like

  • not great for larger cup sizes
  • not a lot of neutral color options
  • band is not adjustable

Wild Fable

“I wasn’t expecting much support at all when I bought this wireless bra (it's only $10!),” admits Senior Editor Dana Dickey, but turns out this last-minute vacation purchase was a surprisingly big hit. “I was very happy to find that the thin straps don’t dig in and the band didn't need to be super tight to stay oriented. I've worn in in heavy rotations in the months since and the bra hasn't stretched out and the pointelle cotton blend hasn't frayed. A great summer or warm-weather bra for those of us like me with a B-minus cup who sometimes just need a little sumpin-sumpin, but don't want all the engineering or discomfort of underwire.” While the straps are adjustable, the bottom band is not, so I highly recommend going off that particular measurement when deciding which size to add to your shopping cart. Dickey does note this Wild Fable bralette is probably best for those with smaller cup sizes (A, B or maybe C), but does come in sizes XXS through 2X which would fit band sizes 30 to 42.

FAST FACTS

  • Size Range: XXS to 2X
  • Materials: 97 percent cotton. 3 percent spandex

4. Quince Second Skin Crossover Bralette

What I Like

  • affordable price
  • great range of neutral colors
  • adjustable straps and band

What I Don’t Like

  • limited size range
  • standard sizing rather than cup specific

Quince

Affiliate Director Pamela Masin is a big fan of Quince’s cashmere and workout clothing, but was still pretty amazed at just how comfortable this easy bralette turned out to be. “I love how the fabric is super lightweight and stretchy, but the sturdy band and clasp in back make it sneakily supportive,” she tells me. “The adjustable straps also make this more like a ‘real bra’ which I appreciate. The only con is sometimes I feel the bottom band digging a little bit so I have to readjust it.” That said, many reviewers compare this wireless design to the Skims bralette, calling it a more affordable version with all the same comfort and support. Seriously, where else can you score two bras just for $30?

FAST FACTS

  • Size Range: XS to XL
  • Materials: 76 percent nylon, 24 percent spandex

5. Soma Enbliss Wireless Strapless Bra

What I Like

  • wide size range
  • very flattering
  • holds up well through multiple washes

What I Don’t Like

  • full coverage design may not work for certain necklines
  • limited color options

Soma

LaBarbera gave this wireless strapless bra a score of 95 on the PureWow100 scale, even going so far as to call it the “most comfortable strapless bra I’ve ever worn.” As she writes in her review, “When I first opened the Enbliss Wireless Strapless bra, I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical. It's a fuller coverage than I usually opt for, and I was concerned how it would lay under clothes like thin tank tops. But as soon as I put it on, I completely understood why so many shoppers flock to it. Because of its wireless design, the bra didn't dig into my sides the way others I've worn in the past have. I also ended up loving the full coverage, because it felt secure and didn't result in any bulging at the top or sides, and it had a super smooth fit.” In fact, reviewers of all cup sizes, ranging from A all the way up to G rave about the support and comfort, even for a full day of wear.

FAST FACTS

  • Cup Size Range: A to G
  • Band Size Range: 32 to 42
  • Materials: 71 percent nylon, 29 percent spandex

6. Montelle Intimates Lace Bralette

What I Like

  • beautiful fabric
  • specifically made for larger cup sizes
  • straps can be worn two ways

What I Don’t Like

  • band fits a bit snug

Montelle

Bra shopping is a challenge for anyone, but that becomes double true for those with larger cup sizes. You may think wireless options can’t possibly compare to the support of a highly structured, wired bra, but this Montella beauty is here to prove you wrong. It’s designed specifically for larger busts and features a wider adjustable band and cups that offer subtle lifting and shaping. The straps are adjustable and can also be criss-crossed in back to wear under racerback tanks or dresses. And the fabric! Beyond looking totally gorgeous (there are eight colors to choose from), the blend of nylon and spandex reportedly offers exactly the right balance of support and comfort. The whole thing is also fully lined so there’s no risk of the lace feeling itchy on your skin. Just know, some reviewers found the band runs small, so you may want to consider going up one from your usual size when ordering (and don’t forget about the magic of sister sizing).

FAST FACTS

  • Cup Size Range: B to G
  • Band Size Range: 30 to 42
  • Materials: 85 percent nylon, 15 percent spandex
