Yes, I want something that will support my chest and give my silhouette some nice shaping, but I also don’t want to feel like I’ve strapped the gals into a straitjacket counting down the hours until I get to take it off. And going braless isn’t really all that comfortable for a full day of activity, especially for those with a larger cup size. It’s a sort of damned if I do, damned if I don’t situation. But there is a solution: comfortable wireless bras.

No, that’s not an oxymoron—there are in fact wireless bras out there that are both comfortable and supportive. The secret is all in the molded cups, which help lift and support with just the shape and fabric alone. I’ve never been annoyed by the band or straps digging in—instead they lay flat and just snug enough to feel secure but not irritating. And the nearly seamless design looks so smooth under T-shirts and tank tops. Seriously, any time I’m having a day where comfort is my main priority I reach for this bra. The band and straps are both adjustable, and the strap can be worn in the traditional H formation or hooked together for a racerback silhouette. My only gripe is that this bra comes in just three colors (beige, tan and black). P.S. The brand’s size guide is super helpful, but if you find your measurements are sitting somewhere between two different cup sizes, I recommend going for the smaller of the two to avoid any unwanted gaping.

“I wasn’t expecting much support at all when I bought this wireless bra (it's only $10!),” admits Senior Editor Dana Dickey, but turns out this last-minute vacation purchase was a surprisingly big hit. “I was very happy to find that the thin straps don’t dig in and the band didn't need to be super tight to stay oriented. I've worn in in heavy rotations in the months since and the bra hasn't stretched out and the pointelle cotton blend hasn't frayed. A great summer or warm-weather bra for those of us like me with a B-minus cup who sometimes just need a little sumpin-sumpin, but don't want all the engineering or discomfort of underwire.” While the straps are adjustable, the bottom band is not, so I highly recommend going off that particular measurement when deciding which size to add to your shopping cart. Dickey does note this Wild Fable bralette is probably best for those with smaller cup sizes (A, B or maybe C), but does come in sizes XXS through 2X which would fit band sizes 30 to 42.

Affiliate Director Pamela Masin is a big fan of Quince’s cashmere and workout clothing, but was still pretty amazed at just how comfortable this easy bralette turned out to be. “I love how the fabric is super lightweight and stretchy, but the sturdy band and clasp in back make it sneakily supportive,” she tells me. “The adjustable straps also make this more like a ‘real bra’ which I appreciate. The only con is sometimes I feel the bottom band digging a little bit so I have to readjust it.” That said, many reviewers compare this wireless design to the Skims bralette, calling it a more affordable version with all the same comfort and support.
