Katie Holmes just proved that sweatpants aren’t solely reserved for the couch.
Earlier this week, the Dawson’s Creek alum, 41, stepped out in New York City with her new boyfriend, Emilio Vitolo Jr., and made us do a double take with her casual day-to-night ensemble.
During the outing, Holmes wore a white T-shirt and cream-colored sweatpants, which—at first glance—may look like something we’d wear on a hot date with Netflix. However, she paired it with a chic blazer by Frame Denim, which makes it bizarrely office appropriate.
Although the ’70s Blazer features double breasted buttons, it has a single closure for easy styling. The piece retails for $628, so it’s definitely an investment item.
Holmes accessorized the look with a surgical face mask, white sneakers by Common Projects ($425) and a Medium Bubble Notte bag by SHARKCHASER ($710).
This isn’t the first time Holmes and her new beau were spotted out in public. In fact, that’s how fans originally discovered her new boyfriend. Although details about the romance are being kept on the DL, we do know their relationship flourished during the coronavirus pandemic. So, if we had to guess, we’d say they started dating earlier this year.
So, who is Vitolo? He’s an Italian-Peruvian chef, who helms his dad’s star-studded NYC restaurant, Emilio’s Ballato. He’s cooked for celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Bradley Cooper, Lenny Kravitz and—you guessed it—Holmes.
