There is no denying Jeremy Strong is an incredible actor. His sense of style, however, is perhaps more debatable. But if you look closer, you may come to see that his approaches to both fashion and acting are not all that different. His absolute dedication to acting has been well documented, but I’ve only recently begun to recognize that Strong’s dedication to choosing red carpet looks that are always ever so slightly wrong is just as prevalent. And it’s turned him into one of my most favorite red carpet attendees for any and all events.

Jeremy Strong’s taste in fashion is fascinating to me. The tailoring of his suits is always pristine and the attention to detail is impeccable. But there is always at least one element that feels wrong, off, not quite right. And yet, it also feels deliberate? He is a bundle of contradictions and I simply beg to know more.
Most recently, at the 2025 Oscars, Strong looked undeniably dapper in a Loro Piana suit. The tailoring, as I’ve come to expect, is gorgeous, but the color is, frankly, confusing. Brown? Gold? Mocha Mousse? It’s a strange choice, as is the alternative necktie. It somehow manages to stand out without actually being bold.

At the 2025 Golden Globes in January he made yet another interesting color choice with a sea green suit, not so coincidentally also by Loro Piana. The color alone wouldn’t have been that odd, if it hadn’t also been made of corduroy...and come with a matching bucket hat...and coordinating sunglasses. The Princess Diaries memes were quick to follow as was my deep confusion about the fact that...I actually kind of loved it?

In fact, Strong has demonstrated a love of monochrome looks featuring unusual colors. Like his mud brown bomber jacket, trousers and hiking shoes at the 97th Annual Oscars Nominees Dinner.

In addition to odd color combinations, he also enjoys coats of unexpected lengths or fabrics, like his brown-and-black extra-long suit jacket at the 2023 Met Gala or his black fur coat at the 025 EE BAFTA Film Awards.
He rocks weird pins and brooches, rarely wears the tie you’d expect and his shoes are never quite right, whether they’re purple-laced hiking shoes or square-toed loafers. He gets a lot of flack for his fashion choices, but damn if it doesn’t make him memorable.

If Jeremy Strong is making an appearance on a red carpet, I know there is a 100 percent chance I’m going to be entertained. You could describe his sense of style as many things—eclectic, weird, wrong—but you could never accuse him of being boring. So as one little weirdo who appreciates the odd details in life, I say you keep doing you, Jeremy. And I’ll keep on loving it.
