Reformation has built something much bigger than a viral dress. Since launching in 2009, the Los Angeles–based company has been on a mission to make sustainable fashion more accessible, producing its collections locally and with partner factories around the world while working toward ambitious climate goals—including becoming climate positive and transitioning to a circular fashion system. In other words, the clothes aren’t just designed to look good; they’re meant to move the industry forward, too.

Still, mission statements aside, my question was simple: How do these pieces actually fit? Are they comfortable? Are they versatile? And most importantly, are they worth it? So I went to Reformation and tried a few standout spring pieces. Some surprised me. Some instantly made sense. And a few earned a permanent place in my wardrobe. Here’s what’s genuinely worth wearing from Reformation this spring.

Best Daytime Date Dress

Anelis Dress

Reformation

Consider this your stylish plus-one for everything on your spring and summer calendar. The Anelis dress, with its classic polka dots and graceful midi length, has that instant polish factor that makes you look dressed up the moment you slip it on. It’s great when you need a quick formal look—just add heels and a red lip, and you’re ready for garden parties, showers, or any invitation that calls for a little extra effort. The same dress can easily be dressed down for a morning coffee run or a market stroll with flat sandals.

For fit reference, I’m typically a size 4, and while the dress fit well overall, I did experience some minor gapping in the back and slightly under the arms. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s something to keep in mind if you prefer a more tailored fit. Consider sizing down or planning for a quick tailor visit for that perfectly snug finish.

Best Brunch Dress

Everett Linen Dress

Reformation

The Everett linen dress feels just as good as it looks—which is great because who really has time for dresses that require you to sit up straight and behave? It’s made from lightweight linen with a fitted bodice and relaxed A-line skirt, making it ideal for a leisurely spring brunch that somehow turns into an all-day affair. What I love most is how comfortable it is. The easy silhouette let me move freely without ever feeling restricted. The square neckline is especially beautiful, framing the collarbone in a way that makes layering necklaces super easy. It’s the perfect excuse for me to pile on delicate gold chains or finally wear that statement pendant I’ve been eying.

Best for Sipping Cocktails Under Twinkling Lights

Cashmere Boyfriend Sweater and Carolina Silk Skirt

Reformation

I tried this look on almost as an afterthought. I had the silk skirt in one hand and the cashmere boyfriend sweater draped over my arm, not entirely sure if I would pair them, but curious. The moment I stepped out of the dressing room, the salesman looked up, paused and said, “Ohhh now this is a forever look.” And honestly, I had to agree.

There’s something about the way these two pieces gravitated toward each other that felt inevitable. It felt like the kind of outfit you’d wear while sipping cocktails under twinkling lights—comfortable enough to linger for hours (even when the wind picks up after the sun sets), but polished enough to go practically anywhere. I plan to pair with a delicate heel or sleek flat, minimal jewelry and let the textures do the talking.

Best Flats For Market Strolls

Blaine Flat

Reformation

Leather shoes are hit or miss. Some are immediately comfortable; others you have to break in a bit. But these are incredibly comfortable right out of the box, thanks to the soft, supple leather that molds to your feet and gives them that broken-in feel almost immediately. The classic ballet silhouette and round toe make them easy to wear, and the leather construction is designed to be flexible and durable over time. What I especially love are the colorways—they truly go with everything. My only caveat is that I’m not entirely sure how the arches hold up after many hours on your feet. Like most ballet flats, they’re fairly minimal in structure, and similar styles often don’t offer significant arch support. That said, for casual wear, shorter outings, or days when comfort and style need to coexist, they’re an easy, reliable choice.

The salesman warned me before I even stepped into the dressing room that the Cary Low Rise Wide Leg Jeans were the brand’s best seller. “All I’m saying is,” he began, very seriously, “they better bury me in these, ok!” I laughed, but in my head I thought, we’ll see. I’ve heard bold claims before. But the moment I pulled them on, it clicked. The low-rise, slouchy wide-leg silhouette has that perfect drape that makes your legs look longer while still feeling relaxed. I paired them with the Iris Knit top, and it was game over. The knit top hugs just enough to balance the volume of the jeans. Together, the look is especially great for travel. Comfortable enough for the plane and forgiving enough for the airport snacks you didn’t plan on.

reformation spring collection try on eli oversized shirt cashmere boyfriend sweater and cary low rise

The oversized shirt was the first top that grabbed my eye when I walked into Reformation. You know that moment when you’re pretending to browse casually, but internally you’ve already decided, Oh, I’m leaving with you. That was me and the oversized shirt. I paired it with the cashmere sweater and added the Cary jeans, and I felt like I was ready for anything. One honest note: if you sweat a lot (like me!), consider getting the shirt in a darker color so perspiration isn’t as obvious. It’s too good of a piece not to wear on repeat, and the right shade makes it even more low-maintenance.
