With summer around the corner, our editors are treating themselves to some retail therapy. I polled my colleagues to see what they bought or are planning to buy this month, and the results are in. From ultra-hydrating hair products to a swivel armchair one our Executive Managing Editor has recently become obsessed with, this list is loaded with products to help you re-fresh this April.

Associate Commerce Editor, Natalie LaBarbera, is updating spring wardrobe with these super-flattering ankle jeans from DL1961. “I've been giving my wardrobe a little spring refresh this month and I picked up these DL1961 light wash jeans that just might be the most comfortable I've tried. They're SO soft and stretchy but super flattering, too, and the ankle length cut is perfect for my short legs.” They also fit true-to-size, according to the brand, meaning these jeans have got your name written all over them.”

Marissa Wu, SEO editor, currently has her sights set on this ultra-hydrating shampoo for the season. “Earlier this year, Odele launched a new line of thickening shampoos and conditioners, and I’m excited to try it! My hair is pretty fine and thin, so I’m always looking for things to remedy that. Plus, everything is under $15!” You heard her, everything is under $15, so get to shopping!

And since we’re on the topic of products that promote healthy hair, consider giving this hair mask recommended by Nakeisha Campbell, associate editor of news and entertainment, a try. “My stylist recommended this product to me after my last salon visit,” she says, adding, “Since I've been struggling with hair loss and dryness. I can already vouch for this because she used it on my hair at the time. Not only did it feel moisturized and soft, but it significantly reduced the hair shedding. Totally worth the investment.”

I have a graduation to attend this spring, and this dress from Kenneth Cole is perfect for the occasion. Not only does it have a spring/summery feel to it thanks to its bright yellow color, but it’s also very comfortable. And while not a form fitting dress, it still does a good job of highlighting and accentuating me best features. For me, the cinched waistline and longer hem makes my legs appear longer, which I love. Plus, you can pair this dress with a wide range of shoe options.

Speaking of breezy spring dresses, LaBarbera recently picked up this tie-waist dress from Vineyard Vines. “I also snagged this lightweight maxi dress that has a "nap dress" feel to it thanks to its lightweight cotton/modal material (that's lined so it isn't see-through), but there's also an adjustable tie at the waist so you can define your shape if you want. P.S: It also comes in kids’ sizes so it would be perfect for Easter, too, if you like to do matching family pics!

“Country Couture is my new favorite spring scent,” says VP of Editorial Content Candace Davison. “It’s crisp, refreshing and a little sultry and peppery, thanks to its combo of nectarine, sandalwood, tonka and pink peppercorns, and unlike other diffusers I've tried, this really fills the room. Plus, how gorgeous are the botanical illustrations on the bottle?! After being gifted one, I'm getting a second for my other bathroom. (And it's sold on Amazon, making it a great last-minute Mother's Day gift.)”

Destinee Scott, associate sales and deals editor, offers up a dress that is sure to impress during the season. “I have my eye on this dress in red! Everything about it (from the sweetheart neckline to the gathered bodice and gingham print) makes it perfect for spring. Like, I want to plan a picnic just to wear it. It's also a good price point, and would work for vacations, so it's a win-win.”

Davison also recommends scooping up this weekly planner to assist with planning and organization. “I am obsessed with paper planners. Like, unhealthily obsessed. Last year, I bought Laurel Denise’s vertical mini planner, and I came to realize that I need more space, so I'm upgrading to an undated, full-size one. I love how customizable it is, and that the large spiral rings give you enough room to add junk journal elements as you go, creating a time capsule of the past year.”

My best friend’s niece has her quinceañera next month, so I snagged her this Initial Necklace from Rellery. It’s delicate and versatile, and happens to match perfectly with the dress she has picked out for her celebration. What’s more, I chose the initials to be that of her late grandfather’s, which adds a special touch that I know she will cherish.

Courtney Mason, editorial assistant, is recommending we all snag ourselves this lavish scent. “I recently snagged the latest Glossier scent (You Fleur) during the Sephora sale, and I’m so excited for it to arrive. I’ve tried—and loved—Glossier’s other scents, but reviewers are raving that this is their best one yet. With notes of ylang-ylang, apricot skin and ambrox, it’s described as the ultimate skin-scent enhancer. I personally love wearing fresher skin scents as the weather warms, and I can’t wait to wear this one all spring.” Okay, I’m definitely sold.

Should you say yes to some new furniture this month? Absolutely, says Executive Managing Editor Catrina Yohay. “High praise, but I think this armchair is my favorite furniture purchase...ever. The design is timeless and sophisticated without scrimping on comfort thanks to the massively deep seat that my 40-pound pup and I can easily curl up into (with room to spare),” she tells me. “I love that it fills my space without sacrificing a ton of real estate. Plus, thanks to the 360-degree swivel, it's way more functional than your average accent chair. Guests can relax and watch TV, then quickly swivel as needed to engage in conversation or grab a snack from the coffee table. The vegan leather material is also kid-, pet- and klutz-friendly, surviving a whiskey spill I was able to spray down and wipe off with ease—no stains or smells left behind,” she continues. Also of note, there are five different fabric options available, giving you plenty of options to choose from.

“As we gear up for summer, I am always looking for the perfect warm weather scents. Right now, NOYZ ‘Detour’ eau de parfum has been a staple to my rotation and something I’ve gravitated a lot toward this month,” says Assistant Editor Delia Curtis. “Inspired by the idea of taking the scenic route, the fragrance is full of fruity, floral, sweet and musky notes, encapsulating everything you might encounter on a road trip.” Just to note, tons of Coachella goers were introduced to the scent during the festival.”

I’m a sports girlie, and my team has a serious chance of winning an NBA championship this year, so I recently picked up this hoodie because, well, I need some new gear! Not only will it work for cooler spring days, but I’ll be able to easily transition it to the fall when the new season starts back (hopefully with us as the champs). While I picked out gear representing my team, this collection features every single team in the NBA, meaning you can find something for you/your team in there as well. Oh, and did I mention you get free shipping with the code 24SHIP?

In need of a spring wedding guest? Scott recommends giving this one a shot. “I have the exact style in a black floral print, but this yellow option is gorgeous and on-trend,” she says. “It has lots of movement, so it's perfect for spring and summer weddings, and it's just really good quality.”

Setting sprays are critical for a flawless makeup look, according to Mason, who just recently picked up this Easy Bake spray from Huda Beauty. “It’s supposed to replicate the blurring effects of their top-selling easy bake setting powder, which is already a staple in my makeup routine. I’m curious to see how the two work together,” she notes. If you don’t want to make the jump into a full bottle just yet, you can go with the miniature size, which clocks in at a little over one ounce for just $17.

Hitting the tracks and trails this spring and summer? The Nike Vomero 18 is your guy according to Associate Fashion Commerce Editor Stephanie Meraz. “The Nike Vomero18 running shoes just might be the most interesting and comfortable shoes I’ve ever slipped on my feet. They have a couple of inches of padding that really absorbs the impact of every step, and they follow a curved design that propels your momentum.”

Also on Curtis’ list is this dry shampoo, which comes highly rated for its effectiveness. “While I am itching for the warmer weather, I’m not excited about the sweat that accompanies it. And for someone who is sweat prone and tends to have oily roots, I am big on dry shampoo,” they explain. “Recently, I’ve been introduced to Batiste’s Light Dry Shampoo in the scent Mellow Melon. It’s a very airy, light dry shampoo with no white residue and leaves my dark brown hair looking fresh and smelling amazing every time I use it. It brings my hair back to life even after 3 to 4 days post-wash. And it’s got ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf extract which has great antioxidant properties for the skin and hair.”

My trip to SeaWorld this summer is going to require a set of comfortable shoes, and I’m giving these Nalle Free Sneakers from Clarks a chance, which was recommended to me by a friend. On the surface, these look like shoes you have to spend a few days breaking into, but the opposite has actually been reported by buyers, who say they are comfortable from the minute you put them on. Plus, they are quite stylish and will match well with the outfits I have planned.

My younger sister is changing the setup of her room…again. Since her birthday is at the end of the month, I’m gifting her these sheets to match the overall new design theme, and I’m sure she’ll like this particular set because it’s 100 percent clean bamboo. These sheets are also temperature regulating, and she’s a hot sleeper, so I’m hoping this will help her be more comfortable at night.

A new cat just joined my household, which means it’s time for a floor washer—a pet floor washer to be exact. I’ve currently got my sights set on this Pet 5 Series from Tineco, which buyers rave upon for its cleaning performance and overall quietness. Or as one shopper notes: “My wife called this a game changer. We should have bought this years ago. She loved it so much that our recommendation led my mother-in-law to buy one the next week!” Welp, looks like I just found my new floor washer.

I have been anxiously waiting for CÉCRED to actually be available to shop in stores, and my prayers were answered earlier this month with the official launch of the company at Ulta. The first thing I snagged was this Hydration Hero Kit, which, per the brand, comes with an ingredient mixture of Hyaluronic Acid, Phyto-Collagen Complex and honey, all of which make your hair healthier and stronger. I can’t wait for my hair stylist to use this on my next appointment!

Meraz also just picked up this cute V-neck denim shirt, which is perfect for the warmer months ahead. “I also took a chance on this ASOS denim top and can confirm, it was a win. It has a nice, thick construction and dark wash, both major factors that make this feel elevated. And the hourglass silhouette is beyond flattering.”
